Roll Grinding Cum Fluting Machine  

This grinding cum fluting machine serves to grind & flute blunt chilled cast iron rolls (mill rolls), but it also fulfills the requirement of other types of industries where chilled rolls are employed for similar purposes. For example: flour mills, feed mills, oil seed crushing & flaking, etc.

Capacity:  
  • Spiral cutting up to 20%. Left and right spiral can be cut.
  • Number of flutes up to 1200.

 
Features:  
  • Extra heavy duty cast iron bed forms a rigid base where the machine table travels on Prismatic and Flat guides.
  • Main table movement with the roll is hydraulic.
  • Grinding/Fluting head is mounted on machine base on opposite sides.
  • Easy positioning of grinding or fluting head. Hydraulic movement of grinding wheel head is optional.
  • Complete with grinding wheel and fluting tool holder.
  • Forward and reverse movement of the fluting tool is hydraulic and linked to the forward and reverse movement main roll table.
  • The fluting control is carried out by driving head and indexing gears.
  • The roll spiral and indexing is automatically driven by the carriage movement and ratchet mechanism.
  • Automatic Forced lubrication system with timer ensures perfect lubrication of all moving parts and guides.
  •  Rolls support universal type with tail center and steadies.
  •  Straight & Tapered Spindles/Shafts can also be grinded.
  • Equipped with dial gauge to maintain accuracy in taper grinding.
  • Time taken to flute the rolls is reduced to more than 75% due to rapid reverse movement of main table.
  • Equipped with all necessary motors and electric panels.
  • Equipped with a mirror to know the contact between the grinding wheel and the roll.
